Plasma on SuSE11 : Indexer doesnt recover after process getting killed if there is an index on an empty bucket

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Build : 5.1.0-1431

On Suse 11, primary or secondary plasma indexes do not come out of warmup state if they are empty when the indexer process is killed and recovered.

This issue is not seen when:
      1. OS is not Suse11. Tried on Suse12 and CentOS7. Issue not reproducible
      2. Storage mode is not plasma. Not reproducible with MOI
      3. Indexes have some data. Reproducible only with empty indexes.

This issue affects a few tests in the sanity suite, but only on Suse11.

      Steps:
      1. Setup a 1 node cluster, with kv, query and index service on it.
      2. Create a bucket default.
      3. Create a primary index on default bucket
      4. Once the index is in Ready state, kill the indexer process on the host.

The indexes will remain in Warmup state.
