Description
A user is trying to automate the provisioning and configuration of a Couchbase node/cluster in order to better manage his test environments. Currently they use the simplistic method of just sleeping for some time and when that expires hope that the node is ready for use.
Since this is still not proof positive that the states they are working from have successfully been executed a more programmatically deterministic method is required.
From the problem report I think they look at two points, the first when the service is started fresh and awaiting initial configuration and the second after the configuration is complete.
There are possibly other points where synchronizing between the controlling environment, in this case the test automation service, which may also be beneficial to such a service.
