Description
Most operating systems support a temporary storage location (e.g. /tmp on Linux). Objects in that storage location are deleted based on an OS-specific policy.
When using such a storage location for data storage, required files can be deleted by the OS leading to surprising failures.
To avoid such failures we could warn the user or fail when a user configures an OS-specific temporary storage location for use as data storage location.
