Description
On a freshly installed cluster, during first time manual setup in install UI:
- Select the box "use IPv6 addresses"
- Provide hostname as an IPv6 address within square brackets.
This gives an error "Requested hostname is not allowed: Short names are not allowed. Please use a Fully Qualified Domain Name."
Providing IPv6 address without the square brackets works in first node setup.
Now, click on Add Server to a second node to the cluster. Provide hostname as an IPv6 address without the square brackets as in first node case. Now this fails with
"Attention: Malformed URL fd63:6f75:6368:20d3:d97a:7875:2e48:ea25"
Providing the address within square brackets in the step works.
Both the screenshots attached.
Expectation: Hostname input format should be same across first node setup and subsequent Add Server steps.
