source tarball build doesn't startup with the expected welcome page

At last, source tarballs seem to build, but not run...

Using a recent basestar source tarball... http://builds.hq.northscale.net/latestbuilds/membase-server_src-basestar-132-g046c56b.tar.gz

I untar'ed and did a make. Then, after hacking around the ulimit check, I ran ./install/bin/membase-server

It started nicely (some stdout is below). However, browsing to http://127.0.0.1:8091 gave the login page instead of the expected welcome page.
