    Description

With the recent implementation of https://issues.couchbase.com/browse/MB-16239, we can now prevent the TTL from being reset to 0 when the user doesn't explicitly set the TTL.

Unless I'm mistaken, editing a doc from the UI will currently cause the TTL to be reset to 0 and the user doesn't have a way of re-applying the TTL.

At a minimum, I would suggest implementing the write from the UI to take advantage of MB-16239.  A further step would be to show and allow editing of the TTL as well.
