KV-Engine 2021-March
Description
I was testing Couchbase features on a low end WIndows 10 Version 1803 OS build 17134.471 machine with 8GB old CPU (AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 240) and a 512GB on a slow hard disk.
First the 6.6.1 build 9213 build worked for me although it did peg the CPU at 45% and the hard disk at 98% with one (1) bucket and one (1) document and one (1) default deployed Eventing function. So no problem here for 6.6.1.
Unfortunately I can not run the public 7.0.0 beta on a Windows 10 box (same box). After I install the public 7.0.0 beta - it installs. I typically have to save the configuration setup twice to get to the working UI, But then I can't even get past making the first bucket.
So I make a bucket (no replicas at 100MB) it never completes. Only one file gets made in the subdir data/[bucket_name]/ it is named master.couch.1 and not a single vBucket file is made in that directory yet 1024 expected. I also tried the newest private build "Enterprise Edition 7.0.0 build 4686" and saw the same behavior.
I am not sure what component to assign this to, but perhaps the log files in the attached a ZIP file of E:\Couchbase\Server\var (this was the install area) which should have the logs on why we can't make a bucket.
Refer to "Couchbase_Server_7.0.0-4686_hang_on_bucket_create_WIN10_var.zip"
This is 0.5MB compressed or 11MB uncompressed.
