Connection parameter validation for remote links too late

When creating a connection to a remote cluster with invalid parameters

the dialog box will close and an error pop-up will be shown a bit later

The behavior should be fixed to behave like the corresponding dialog in XDCR, where the dialog box is not closed and the error message is displayed in the same dialog box - allowing correction of the parameters.
