Description
In recent days, I have experienced several instances where, due to my laptop going to sleep or losing connectivity, Analytics service is unable to start and/or function. During many of these instances, I was on the VPN, or started on the VPN and had lost VPN connection.
During these episodes, ns_server & KV engine seem to be fully functional, so the problem seems to be specific to (at least) the analytics service. This ia a single-node cluster_run cluster. It seemed that on most occasions cycling the VPN (disconnecting & subsequently reconnecting), followed by killall -9 cbas (which kills & restarts the java process) gets things unstuck.
Unfortunately the only logs I have of this, are part of an extended debug session, so I'm not sure what use they will be, but I have attached them anyway.
