Query page expand/contract unexpected behaviour

Expanding/Contracting the query editor area from Query page behaves unusually:

Expand query editor area:

• current behaviour: explore data area disappears and query editor is smaller than before
• expected behaviour: explore data area disappears and query editor fits the whole screen width

There is an unexpected space to the right of explore data area which keeps appearing even after expanding it.
