    Description

We need apples-apples performance comparison (throughput and latency) of Magma and Couchstore in AWS.  For this we should run a subset of Magma performance tests in AWS:

      • Use 10% residency ratio since this is what Couchstore can support
      • Total volume of data in cluster does not need to be more than 6TB - can use a 6 node cluster or 3 node cluster. Some tests can use smaller dataset.
      • Use EBS - test both io2 and gp2
      • Do some tests with YCSB and some with python sdk workload generator
      • r5.2xlarge instances are popular instance types in Capella. But m5.2xlarge has better core-ram ratio for magma.
