Description
Problem
There are cases where the query service will get stuck. In those cases a simple restart of the query process fixes the issues.
Suggestion
It would be good if ns_server had a Query monitor that did a simple query ( to see if the query is responding) if not instead of failing over the node but killing the query process (maybe trigger a stack trace) and let it restart. The reason why I suggest this is because the query process is stateless and can restart quickly .
