UI not retrieving documents on documents page

Documents page of the UI doesn't always show documents that are on disk, and leaves the "retrieve docs" button grayed out:

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install docker
2. run docker run -d --name db -p 8091-8096:8091-8096 -p 11210-11211:11210-11211 couchbase (this should install EE 7.1.1 build 3175)
3. setup Couchbase cluster with query and data service
4. load beer-sample"bucket
5. click on the "Documents" link from the beer-sample bucket
    
   I've also noticed that if you load two buckets and switch between them on the documents page the UI starts retrieving documents just fine
