When an Analytics collection is populated with documents from data services, it is possible to specify filtering criteria as a WHERE clause of the CREATE DATASET statement which is a useful feature.
Please consider even a more demanding capability of being able to transform document content when it is replicated between Data and Analytics services. It is very rare when the original document is required for typical analytical needs. Usually, some excerpt of the original data is required with possible change of the representation. An approach similar to how map/reduce views do such transformations using JavaScript code would be suitable.
