The guidance we have for sizing machines for taking is limited.
In the following section of the docs we state:
The minimum hardware requirement for running cbbackupmgr is four CPU cores, 8GiB RAM. The recommend hardware is sixteen CPU cores, 16GiB RAM and SSD disks.
We should work to improving the sizing guidance and investigate what customers can do to trade backup times against the cost of hardware resources
