Description
Anecdotally I've seen this issue (or one with the same symptom) also occur a long time ago (v5.x?)
cb_gosecrets_runner is crashing babysitter on startup due to a directory not existing after a full uninstall/reinstall.
Approximate repro steps:
- Install Couchbase Server MacOS package
- Some amount of basic usage (e.g. create bucket? add a doc?)
- Uninstall following the documented steps
- Remove .app
- Remove Couchbase/membase/couchbase-py directories
- rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Couchbase && rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/membase && rm -rf ~/Library/Python/couchbase-py
- Reinstall Couchbase Server MacOS package
- Crash on startup (see error screenshot)
- Crash dump and babysitter.log attached
The workaround/fix is to manually create the var/lib/couchbase/config directory:
- mkdir -p /Users/benbrooks/Library/Application Support/Couchbase/var/lib/couchbase/config
