Description
For Backup Service UI Storage Provider (in Add Repository), instead of listing just "AWS", the description should read "AWS (S3 API compatible)" with additional text (via tool tip or hover over) explaining:
The S3 API compatible cloud storage must be fully compatible with all the S3 API commands used by cbbackupmgr – see https://docs.couchbase.com/server/current/backup-restore/cbbackupmgr-cloud.html#aws-2 and https://docs.couchbase.com/server/current/backup-restore/cbbackupmgr-cloud.html#aws-4
The S3 API compatible cloud storage should provide information on how to set the credentials (ID and Secret Key), Region, and Endpoint (under Advanced cloud options in Backup Service UI). Many S3 API compatible object storage also require "S3 Force path style" – a check box under Advanced cloud options in the Backup Service UI. Please check your S3 API compatible object storage documentation for information on the degree of compatibility, requirements for compatibility, and S3 API commands supported. Couchbase does not test S3 API compatible object storage – the degree of compatibility and specific S3 API commands supported by the object store will determine whether or not the object store can be used with the Backup Service.
