Major Description
Currently, we do not allow any updates to the active backup repository. However, it's reasonable for customers to need to modify the backup schedule (the backup plan) every once in a while. For example, as the cluster grows in size or the number of updates increase, one may need to modify the times when the backups are run (longer intervals, etc). In this regard, the customer runs into these hardships:
1. We do not allow plans to be modified if the plan is being used by a backup repository.
2. We do not allow a backup repository to be updated so that a new plan can be used with an existing backup.
We should consider allowing the backup repository to be updated so that a new plan can be used – perhaps the backup repository can be updated when it is in a paused state so that the backup schedule can be safely modified.
