PKCS8 key parsing issue when passing extracted PKCS8 key from .p12 file

    Description

      When attempting to pass a key in from Operator that has been extracted from a PKCS12 file, we are running in to the error below from the Indexer service.

      The key is not passphrase protected however, the PKCS12 file is and the password handling for the PKCS12 file is done via operator.

       

      Error:

      2024-04-15T14:30:55.419+00:00 [Fatal] Fail to due generate SSL certificate: x509KeyPair: parsePrivateKey returned err: parsePrivateKey: failed to parse private key. Error: x509: failed to parse private key (use ParsePKCS8PrivateKey instead for this key format); pkcs8: only PKCS #5 v2.0 supported; x509: failed to parse private key (use ParsePKCS8PrivateKey instead for this key format) 

      PKCS12 file password (without the quotes): "password"
      CA cert and key attached
