    Description

      We currently only have a WindowsTask and a LinuxTask:

              WindowsTask("Version file",
      		 
                          "type " + winquote_path(basedir()) + "\\VERSION.txt"),
      		 
      ...
      		 
              LinuxTask("Version file", "cat '%s/VERSION.txt'" % root),

      We should also have a MacOSXTask for this.
