    Description

      Farshid,

      Can you please help to take a quick look at the following logs?

      I have opened a defect to track this as well.

      Thanks,

      Hi Don,

      No worries, please! I know you're working hard to get 2.0 ready. You are doing an excellent job, guys. This is just a small inconvenience.

      I have created a tar+gzip file from all the /opt/couchbase/var/lib/couchbase/logs/ directory. You can download them from:

      https://www.dropbox.com/s/3z6rpx0e239yaic/couchbase_logs.tar.gz

      Unluckily, I'm not sure if the logs will show the exact moment when the incident happened. After working for a while, I gave up and installed couchbase-server-community_x86_2.0.0-1482-rel.deb. This seems to have replaced some part of the logs, but there is still some errors at the beginning of the file (Find 2012-08-27 15:54:28 for details). My "last login" was at 18:43:24 2012, so I think you'll get the information you need.

      I hope this is enough. As I said in the forums, this has happened to me twice. In both cases, the set-up was the same: I was running couchbase-server-community_x86_2.0.0-dev-preview-4.deb and Ubuntu Precise. In case you need this info:

      1. uname -a
        Linux li518-212 3.5.2-linode45 #1 SMP Wed Aug 15 14:10:55 EDT 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
      1. cat /etc/*-release
        DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
        DISTRIB_RELEASE=12.04
        DISTRIB_CODENAME=precise
        DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 12.04 LTS"
      1. lsb_release -a
        No LSB modules are available.
        Distributor ID: Ubuntu
        Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
        Release: 12.04
        Codename: precise

      Anything I can help you to diagnose this problem, just ask me, ok?

      Cheers,

      Hi Pablo,

      Sorry for the inconvenience faced.

      So that we can investigate this issue further, can you please email us the log file so that we can investigate this further? (You can tar up the log and send it via email to me).

      Also what build version are you using?

      Thank you and regards,

      Hi guys,

      I am constantly receiving an "Unexpected Error" message when I try to retrieve any documents from my Couchbase installation by using the admin console. Views are returning the right information, but there is no way I can access the values of the documents.

      When I type the Id of a document and click the Lookup Id button, I get this on the Network inspector on my browser:

      {
      "error": "badrpc",
      "reason": "{'EXIT',{badmatch,{error,closed, [

      {mc_client_binary,cmd_binary_vocal_recv,5}

      ,

      {mc_client_binary,get_meta,3}

      ,

      {ns_memcached,do_handle_call,3}

      ,

      {gen_server,handle_msg,5}

      ,

      {proc_lib,init_p_do_apply,3}

      ]}, {gen_server,call, [

      {'ns_memcached-$data-default','ns_1@127.0.0.1'}

      ,

      {get_meta,<<\"4f9c3f6b-0387-4357-a3ee-790b559b27e0\">>,37}

      , 30000]}}}"
      }

      Any ideas on how to solve/recover this? I cannot access any document right now, not by using the console, nor by code. And this is a live server
