      Description

      I'm still seeing this problem on Windows and an Ubuntu cluster. All I'm doing is running the query referenced in GEO-4 through the admin console and I get the errors below and eventually the node crashes.

      {"total_rows":0,"rows":[
      ],
      "errors":[
      {"from":"local","reason":"{noproc,{gen_server,call,[<0.26111.0>,

      {request_group,0},infinity]}}"},
      {"from":"local","reason":"{noproc,{gen_server,call,[<0.26146.0>,{request_group,0}

      ,infinity]}}"},
      {"from":"local","reason":"{noproc,{gen_server,call,[<0.26183.0>,

      {request_group,0},infinity]}}"},
      {"from":"local","reason":"{noproc,{gen_server,call,[<0.25515.0>,{request_group,0}

      ,infinity]}}"},
      {"from":"local","reason":"{noproc,{gen_server,call,[<0.23414.0>,

      {request_group,0}

      ,infinity]}}"}

        John,

        can you please attach diags from your environment ?

        also does this happen on a single node , after how many spatial indexes

        assigning to John as I saw there's a question from Farshid.

        also, John, do you have a pointer to what GEO-4 means?

        thanks,
        Steve

        John, I've tried it. Your function isn't valid, it's missing a closing curly bracket. Can you try again with one added?

        Many apologies about that, you are correct and it works with the added paren. It still seems worth noting that the invalid map function does seem to break the server, But it's probably not an issue because the UI doesn't allow it. I created the design document as part of an SDK unit test. Thanks.

        No worries. Spatial functions are now checked for syntax errors when they get stored in the DB. I think that change was after the beta. So in the future this can't happen again.

        See John's comment. It was a syntax error.
