Cluster needs a static connect method per RFC

    Description

      AFAICT, the current implementation in master has a Cluster constructor that does all this, rather than a factory method something like:

      Cluster.connect(<connStr>, <user>, <password>)

      It seems that a static connect method is required per spec.
