Update .NET Platform Compatibility

Description

The platform compatibility needs to be revisited. 

 

For instance .NET 5.0. is made available, however there isn't any mention of it in the release notes or Compatibility matrix.  In addition to this this looks like 4.6.2 and .NET Standard 2.0/2.1 compatibility is unclear
