    Description

Starting from Couchbase Server version 7.0.2, creation of standard GSI index (using plasma storage) on ephemeral buckets is supported.

As 7.0.2 is a patch release, customers may downgrade from 7.0.2 to 7.0.0 (7.0.1) After downgrade, if rebalance decides to move standard GSI index on ephemeral bucket to some other 7.0.1/7.0.0 node, then the rebalance can fail.

Workaround is to delete all the existing standard GSI indexes before downgrade.

This workaround needs to be documented.

Note: MOI indexes on ephemeral buckets are unaffected due to any the changes in 7.0.2.
