Would be nice for casual users to be able to check on the status of shadowing

While playing with the DPDP over a matter of 24 hours - coming and going, being logged out automatically, going to sleep and waking up, etc. - my system got into a transient state where a N1QL update (the one in the beer tutorial) didn't shadow to Analytics.  I could see the new Kona beer in the frontend but not the backend.  After giving up for a little while, it self-resolved, it seems - but - that was a disconcerting state to be in.  As a naive end user I had no idea what to think/do at that point.  It would have been nice to be able to look at something or other in the console to see what the status of the shadowing connections were at that point - to try and get some insight into what was wrong.
