[UI] upgrading a cluster from 6.6.5 to 7.1.4 breaks ui query tab

2 nodes - 1 kv index nodes, 1 query node

both nodes start at 6.6.5 - create a bucket default and insert one item and a primary index
upgrade query node first to 7.1.4, then upgrade kv-index node to 7.1.4

now try running a query via the ui on the 7.1.4 kv-index node you will get this error

But I am running this query as admin I should have all the correct perms, this is probably a problem with ui query context as I cannot set the proper query context for the default collection via the kv-index node, if i move to the query node I can execute queries fine. There is no option to set the scope from the kv-index node (ss attached)
